NEXT WORKSHOP DATE

Iyengar yoga & FELDENKRAIS immersion workhop
Sunday 12th July 2026 - 11am to 4pm (with breaks)

Immersion Workshops

For those who love yoga and want to extend their skills and develop faster I offer a 5-hour or 3-hour immersion. The 5-hour or 3-hour immersion workshops are open to all abilities.

Each Immersion includes elements of asanas, pranayama, discussions, hands on adjustments, therapeutic techniques and philosophy. Coming to my Immersions will give your “Body know how”.

Gipe is also a trainee of Feldenkrais “Awareness Through movement” method. In some sessions separate time will be given to explore the Feldenkrais technique and its step-by-step instructions for greater range of movement.

For more information, please scroll down. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Gipe or fill in medical or injury issues on the booking form.

Sunday 12 July; 5-hours + snack, Time, 11:00 - *14-16:00

The pelvic region, specifically the pelvic floor muscles and the surrounding structures; moves in a subtle, rhythmic "expanding and contracting" motion during respiration and walking. In this way the pelvis, act as a dynamic stabilizer for the body.  But we need to know how to enhance this natural rhythmic breath for stronger and dynamic posture?

Join the Immersion to explore how; paper bags, balloons and blocks will help you access better posture and flexibility through an awareness of the breath?

Other dates;
Saturday 22 August; 3-Hour Immersion: Time, 11:00 - 14:00

Sunday 18 October; 3-Hour Immersion: Time, 11:00 - 14:00

Saturday 7 November. 5-hours + snack, Time, 11:00 - *14-16:00

*last two hours is dedicated to breath work. Learning to become aware of our breath, control your breath, and maximize our breath has the potential to heal our bodies as well as provide ultimate wellness to our mind, body and soul.

We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if minimum enrollment numbers are not met.

My journey with movement.

I love movement and I love learning about movement. I was first introduced to Feldenkrais when I was 18 as a trainee dancer. It blew me away with how the simple instructions given transformed painful movement into pain free movement. And the bonus was how relaxed I felt after each class and especially in the one-to-one sessions called FI (Functional Integration). Try FI by booking one to one private classes.

In 2024 I decided to invest in the four-year Feldenkrais teacher training. I am loving every moment of it.

What Is the Feldenkrais Method?

The Feldenkrais method or therapy, developed by Moshe Feldenkrais, is the application of a gentle mindful movement based on principles of connecting motor development and psychological awareness.

Learning either in a group classes or individual FI session the focus is on enabling students to reconnect movement to sensory awareness. This means the method draws your attention to what you are observing , as you are moving slowly.

A different approach to movement.

With your attention on how you are moving rather than what you are achieving the focus in Feldenkrais is about self-education, relaxation and breathing. Don’t expect to sweat in Feldenkrais or reach the burn. For Feldenkrais the movements are about discovering how you move at a steady easy pace whatever your fitness level.

What to Expect in a Session

In class and in the hands-on FI (one to one sessions) you will learn through attainable movements to steadily re-educate neural pathways for easier more efficient movement. In the private one to one session, my guiding touch gently moves joints, bones and connective tissues to co-ordinate or integrate the parts of the body into a whole bodily movement for smoother functional motion.

What is the difference between
Feldenkrais movement and yoga?

While Traditional Iyengar Yoga focuses on personal development and mastery of asanas or poses, Feldenkrais prioritize self-awareness in the process of learning how best to do a task, for you. There is no one way to do a series of tasks, given by the Feldenkrais teacher or one way the task should look like. The accomplishment of a task is how you learn to tackle it not what it looks like according to teacher’s demonstrations or picture image. Thus the Feldenkrais teacher does not demonstrate. This makes Feldenkrais an excellent choice for novices or people with physical restrictions, who need to or like to find their way through sequences of suggested movements. Students are encouraged to rest when they need to take safe detours to help them accomplish learning with self awareness and self compassion.

Feldenkrais can help you move more freely and with less pain, improve flexibility and balance, ease stress and fatigue, and improve posture. It can be helpful if you have: Acute or chronic back, neck, muscle or joint pain. Arthritis. Including neurological and other medical issues.
